This game is so difficult to play, but so much harder to figure out what you have to do and where you have to go. The “map” is in 3D and doesn’t tell you exactly where you are but just a vague reference. There are so many weapon combos listed but i found myself using upto 4 but for most areas of the game just one. Graphics, game play, movement and control are probably not as good as the newer consoles but lets remember this is the PS2, and I am glad that I have one.

Decided to return to the PS2 and this was a good choice of game, it kept me entertained and held my attention, highly recommended. Tried it on 2 consoles and kept getting an error message. While this game is a good game by most standards, I have to say it is the weak link in the POP trilogy. The story line is fairly good however, and the game play is decent although you will sometimes find yourself cursing the prince it’s smaller things that let it down, like what’s with the music selection?

Def worth a buy just to keep the POP story going, and while you’re playing bear in mind that the best is yet to come from the two thrones. Having not played either of the other two POP’s, I didn’t really know what to expect. However the game did not disappoint- immersive gameplay, fantastic scenery, innumerable weapon combos and amazing interaction with your surroundings make this a must buy.

However, amateurs beware: this game is not plain sailing. I’ve had the game for 4 months now and am only just approaching completing half of it. Some of the puzzles are infuriatingly difficult and I am frequently at a loss about where to head next. Summary: Incredible game, but a star off for the difficulty. I think this game is better then Sands of Time, because the fighting system is better now. You can kill your enemies on many different ways and the platforming is still good because you have Dahaka chases.

Those chases are really fantastic because the camera will be set in front of you so you see the Dahaka and not knowing what is going to come. You don’t have the Dagger of Time, so there’s no need to absorb your enemies with this dagger. Just kill them in many different ways. Also you have 2 endings. You will find one when you are just playing, and you will find the other one when you search for something.
